Mahakumbh 2025: A Divine Confluence Of Humanity

On the banks of Triveni, an event is about to unfold that will set a new milestone in human history. The Mahakumbh, scheduled from January 13 to February 26, 2025, expecting over 400 million devotees, is not just a fair but the world's largest spiritual journey.

The Kumbh Shetra, spanning 10,000 hectares, has been transformed into a temporary district. Over 25,000 artisans from all across the country are working day and night to create this magnificent city.

Built at a cost of ₹7,000 crores, this divine city features 1,50,000 tents, 30 pontoon bridges, and 400 kilometers of temporary roads. Illuminated by 69,000 solar-hybrid streetlights, this area will remain as bright as day even at night.

A seven-tier security system has also been established in the Kumbh Mela Shetra. 2,700 AI-enabled cameras and drones maintain constant surveillance. 3,800 water police personnel are deployed for water security, along with underwater drones and night vision technology-equipped monitoring systems. 350 fire engines and 50 fire stations are ready 24x7 to handle emergency situations.

Devotees coming to Mahakumbh are specially requested to follow these important precautions. Always carry identification and necessary medicines. Attach ID cards with mobile numbers and addresses around children's and elderly's necks. Exercise special caution in crowded areas and use only designated ghats for bathing. In case of emergency, immediately contact the nearest police booth or Lost & Found center.

Prioritising cleanliness, 150,000 toilets, 25,000 dustbins, and 160 waste management vehicles have been installed. 15,000 sanitation workers are engaged in maintaining cleanliness round the clock. An area of 1,800 hectares has been reserved for vehicle parking.

All major Akharas including Mahanirvani, Atal, Niranjani, and Juna have entered the Kumbh Mela area with their traditional grandeur. Ash-covered Naga Sadhus, with the beat of damru and chants of 'Har Har Mahadev,' are making the spiritual atmosphere even more divine.

Special preparations have been made for 'Amrit Snan' on Makar Sankranti (January 14), Mauni Amavasya (January 29), and Basant Panchami (February 3). Newly constructed 12-kilometer-long ghats are ready for the sacred bath of devotees.
