Maha Kumbh 2025: President Droupadi Murmu Takes Holy Dip In Prayagraj
President Droupadi Murmu took a holy dip at Triveni Sangam during the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela on Monday.
The President was earlier warmly welcomed by the Governor of Uttar Pradesh Smt Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister on her arrival at Prayagraj. President Murmu fed migratory birds at Triveni Sangam before offering prayers.

Last week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a holy dip in the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mystical Saraswati.
Uttarakhand CM Takes Holy Dip
Meanwhile, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami arrived at Prayagraj with his family and took a holy dip at Triveni Sangam. The BJP leader said that he considers himself fortunate to visit and take a holy dip.
"People from all over the world are coming here for a holy dip of faith... I consider myself fortunate to be able to come here. The Kumbh of 2027 will be in Haridwar, and we have already started preparations for it," ANI quoted the Uttarakhand CM as saying.
Over 40 Crore People Take Holy Dip
Over 40 crore people have taken holy dip since the Kumbh Mela began on January 13.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath along with his Cabinet; producer Vinod Bhanushali and lead singer of British band Coldplay, Christ Martin, along with his girlfriend and actress Dakota Johnson are some of the prominent personalities who have already taken the holy dip at the Sangam.
Huge Traffic Jam
Kumbh Mela, the world's largest religious gathering, will come to an end on February 26. Meanwhile, Prayagraj witnessed 200-300-kms traffic jam devotees flocked across the globe in crores. "It is impossible to move towards Prayagraj today as there is a traffic jam of 200-300 kilometres," the PTI quoted police as saying.
The huge traffic jams were reported from Katni to MP-UP borders at Chakghat in Rewa district.
