Maggi noodle samples to be tested at Mysuru lab says Supreme Court
Bengaluru, Dec 16: The Supreme Court of India on Wednesday, Dec 16 said that fresh samples of Maggi noodles will be tested at a laboratory in Mysuru.
The Supreme Court is seized of a matter in which the return of Maggi noodles had been challenged by the FSSAI.

Also up for challenge was a plea by Nestle India which had challenged the legality and correctness of the order by the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission which had ordered testing of 16 Maggi noodles samples.
Yesterday the Supreme Court had issued notices to the Centre and sought its response. Last week when the matter had come up for hearing the Supreme Court had sought a response from Nestle India on the plea filed by the FSSAI challenging the ban being lifted.
The Bombay High Court had ordered the lifting of the ban on nine variants of Maggi noodles and ordered the company for fresh tests.
The Supreme Court will hear this matter again on January 13. During the last date of hearing the Bench of the Supreme Court had said that it would take up on January 13 the plea filed by the FSSAI challenging the lifting of ban on Maggi Noodles.
