Bhopal, Aug 3: Stunning pictures of locals in Madhya Pradesh risking their lives by using makeshift bamboo bridge is bound to send shivers down your spine.
Villagers, school children caught on camera while using bamboo ladder as bridge to cross an overflowing river in Damoh district.
Damoh is among 33 districts of the state that have received above average rains during the monsoon this year so far. Over 300,000 people have been affected by the floods in Madhya Pradesh where heavy rains continued to create havoc.
Of the 51 districts of Madhya Pradesh, 23 have been affected by the floods.
Heavy rainfall causes flash floods in several parts of MP
Over 300,000 people have been affected by the floods, including about 8,000 who had to leave their inundated homes to take shelter in 27 temporary relief camps provided by the state government, the officials said.
Many villages were cut off from the rest of the state as the heavy downpour resulted in submergence of various roads.
