MP kicks beggar on the head, Cong demands expulsion
Bhopal, Nov 2: In a scene of inhumanity, an MP and minister in the Shivraj Singh Chouhan's cabinet was caught kicking a poor beggar after it sought financial help. In a video clipping, Kusum Mahdele was seen kicking the minor boy on the head when he fell on her feet for some money.
She then left the spot in her vehicle. A policeman who was on duty there said that the boy begs at a bus stand. He further said,""The boy suddenly came from nowhere and bowed at the feet of ‘Jiji' (Mehdele) and demanded Re 1."
Mehdele is in charge of law and legislative affairs, public health engineering, animal husbandry and a few other departments. She was in her hometown Panna to participate in MP Foundation Day celebrations.
However, this is not the first time that Mehdele is in the centre of controversy. Earlier, she had said that if farmers did not commit suicide after their sons died, how would be know that they died due to crop failure.
Meanwhile, condemning the act Congress demanded that the minister be suspended. KK Mishra, Congress spokesperson said,"This shows the attitude of the state government towards the poor and the downtrodden. Drunk on power, ministers of Chouhan-led state government have been crossing their limits for a long time. Mehdele's act exposed the chief minister's tall claim that he and his government always stood by poor and farmers."
