Madhya Pradesh Polls: 3 Union Ministers, 4 MPs In BJP's 2nd List Of Candidates
As the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections 2023 draw near, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its second list of candidates, which includes five Members of Parliament vying for seats in different constituencies. The list included Union Ministers- Narendra Singh Tomar and Prahlad Singh Patel.

The development comes hours after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's poll rally in Bhopal, where he attacked Congress saying if the grand old party comes to power, the state will be again a 'bimaru' (sick).
Ganesh Singh, the representative of Satna, is set to run from the Satna constituency, while Riti Pathak, hailing from Sidhi, is on the ballot in Sidhi. Rakesh Singh, the incumbent from the Jabalpur West parliamentary constituency, also secures a place in this second list.
Notably, Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Narendra Singh Tomar, has opted to enter state politics by contesting in the upcoming legislative assembly elections.
This move by the BJP in announcing these candidates underscores their strategic approach to the impending elections. By fielding prominent MPs in the state legislative arena, the BJP aims to capitalize on their experience and appeal to secure vital seats.
In addition to Madhya Pradesh, the states of Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Telangana, and Mizoram are slated for elections later this year. While the BJP holds power in Madhya Pradesh, the party is vigorously campaigning to unseat the Congress government in Chhattisgarh.
