Madhya Pradesh Accident: Audi Mows Down Motorcycle, Three Dead on the Spot

Three members of one family died when a speeding Audi hit their motorcycle on the Rewa-Prayagraj National Highway in Madhya Pradesh. The crash happened on the stretch under Raipur Karchuliyan police limits on Saturday afternoon, leaving the two vehicles wrecked and the riders dead on the spot.

The victims were 55-year-old Bhagwat Vishwakarma, son Shivam Vishwakarma, and relative Sheetal Vishwakarma, all from Ghooma village in Garh-Katra. They were carrying wedding invitation cards for Shivam’s marriage, which was fixed for 24 February, and were visiting relatives’ homes.

Police said the collision took place at about 3 pm near the Kosta Jiula turn, around 20 kilometres from Rewa. The family was travelling from Hanumana towards Rewa on a motorcycle when the oncoming black Audi, moving at high speed from the Rewa side, struck them head-on.

Eyewitnesses reported that the impact was extremely strong and left both the motorcycle and the Audi badly damaged. All three riders died instantly at the scene, before medical teams could provide any help, according to initial on-site reports gathered by officers.

Rewa Audi accident: police search for car occupants

After the collision, the Audi reportedly rammed a road divider, causing more damage to the car. Witnesses told police that the Audi’s occupants left the vehicle and escaped from the spot. Police teams are checking nearby areas and are trying to identify everyone inside the car.

Local residents alerted the police control room and called the 108 ambulance service soon after the crash. Staff from Raipur Karchuliyan Police Station, including ASI Padmesh Mishra, visited the site, prepared documentation, and sent the bodies to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital for postmortem. The case remains under investigation.

"A speeding Audi car from Rewa collided head-on with a motorcycle traveling from Hanumana. Tragically, a woman and two men died on the spot. The investigation is underway, and we are tracing the Audi occupants," ASI Mishra said. Police continue their search while the bereaved family prepares for funeral rites instead of the planned wedding celebrations.
