West Bengal: Madan Mitra to be discharged from hospital soon
Kolkata, Dec 27: West Bengal Transport Minister Madan Mitra, who has been arrested by CBI in connection with the Saradha chitfund scam, will be discharged from hospital soon as his medical reports found him to be healthy.
"Nothing significant was found in the medical tests. The medical board felt that there is no need to keep him in the hospital any more. Once the formalities are completed, the jail authorities will take him back," SSKM director Pradip Mitra told reporters.
He said that the minister's health would be reviewed after seven days. Mitra was arrested on December 12 by CBI and has been remanded to judicial custody till January 2.
