LS Election 2024: Mamata Banerjee, Akhilesh Yadav, Aditya Thackeray Welcome Arvind Kejriwal With Posts On X
Soon after the Supreme Court granted bail to Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal in connection with a money laundering case related to now scrapped Delhi Liquor Policy, Opposition's INDIA bloc leaders welcomed back Kejriwal sharing wishes on micro-blogging site X.
Praising the apex court's decision, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said, "I am very happy to see that Shri Arvind Kejriwal has got interim bail. It will be very helpful in the context of the current elections."

Former Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray's son and Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray hit out at Modi government stating, "Arvind Kejriwal ji getting justice and relief against dictatorial regime in the country is a huge sign of winds of change. He has been speaking the truth and that is what the BJP dislikes. More power to him and the INDIA alliance for Bharat. We will protect our Constitution and democracy!"

Uttar Pradesh CM and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav also reacted to Arvind Kejriwal's bail decision. In a post in Hindi, Akhilesh Yadav said, "The bail of Delhi's popular Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal ji is another victory of truth. The strength and unity of the 'India Alliance' is going to liberate the people of India from the painful rule of BJP. Unite and pledge to vote!"
Pronouncing the bail order, a two-judge bench of Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice Dipankar Datta said relief is being granted to Arvind Kejriwal till June 1 and he will have to surrender and go back to jail on June 2.
The court has also restricted Delhi CM from signing any official file and he will not go to the Chief Minister's office.
