LS adjourned for the day, RS till 2 p.m.

New Delhi, July 30: Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day on Thursday as a mark of respect to former president A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, while the Rajya Sabha was adjourned till 2 p.m.

"Since the funeral of A.P.J. Abdul Kalam is in progress, the house is adjourned till 2 p.m.," Rajya Sabha Chairman M. Hamid Ansari said.

Kalam, who died on Monday in Shillong due to cardiac arrest, was accorded a state funeral at his home town of Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu.
