LPG Price Hike In Delhi: Gas Cylinder Price Increased By ₹29; Know What Is Cost Of Cylinder Today

Domestic LPG prices have risen again. The rate increased by ₹29 per cylinder. It is the second hike in three months. Global energy supply issues caused this move. Many markets remain impacted by the ongoing West Asia crisis.

New rates apply in Delhi from Sunday. The price is now ₹942 per cylinder. It was ₹913 before this update. Industry sources confirmed.

Reasons for the Price Hike

Global supply concerns are the main reason. The ongoing conflict between the US and Iran impacted energy markets. Cooking gas prices rose by ₹60 in Delhi back in March. Other fuel products also face rising rates.

Challenges for Oil Companies

State-run oil marketing firms now face heavy losses. They lost ₹703 on each LPG cylinder sold. This figure was estimated before the latest price revision. The current hike meets only part of that loss.

Commercial LPG Cylinder Costs

Commercial LPG prices have also seen spikes. Hotels and restaurants must pay more now. Prices went up by ₹42 on June 1. A 19-kg cylinder now costs ₹3,113 for these business users.

Commercial rates saw very large jumps recently. Prices rose by ₹1,000 in May. They increased by ₹195.5 during April. March also saw a steep hike of ₹114.5 per commercial cylinder.
