LPG Price Cut: 19-Kg Commercial Cylinder Becomes Cheaper By Rs 158; Know Rates
In a major relief for LPG consumers, Public sector Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have lowered the price of 19 KG commercial LPG gas cylinders by Rs 158, according to reports. The new prices will be effective from today i.e September 1st and the retail selling price of a 19kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi will now stand at Rs 1,522.
Earlier, on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, the central government had reduced the price of Domestic LPG by Rs 200, as a gesture towards the women of the country. Monthly adjustments for both commercial and domestic LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) cylinders are made on the first day of each month, with the new rates coming into effect from September 1.

During August, OMCs had already reduced the prices of commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 99.75. In July, there had been an increment of Rs 7 in the prices of commercial LPG gas cylinders. Prior to this increase, two consecutive price reductions had been implemented for commercial LPG cylinders in May and June of this year.
In May, the price of a commercial LPG cylinder was lowered by Rs 172 by OMCs, and in June, a reduction of Rs 83 was made. Even in April, prices were decreased by Rs 91.50 per unit. Earlier on March 1 of this year, Petroleum and oil marketing companies had raised the prices of commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 350.50 per unit and domestic LPG cylinders by Rs 50 per unit.
