Look into men's problems: Rights group
New Delhi, Nov 18: Even as concerted efforts are being made to empower women in society, a rights group has stressed the need to look into the problems men face at home and outside.
"After 65 years of Independence, not a single study has been done by the Indian government that is related to the domestic and social life of a man," Bengaluru-based men's rights activist Kumar V. Jahgirdar said here on Wednesday on the eve of International Men's Day.

Jahgirdar of the NGO Child Rights Initiative for Shared Parenting (CRISP) said no study has been conducted by any government agency on the reasons behind suicides by married men.
Quoting the National Crime Records Bureau's (NCRB) 2013 report, he said 64,098 married men committed suicide as against 29,491 married women ending their lives.
Jahgirdar called for making family laws gender-neutral as in most of the cases the men were victims of gender-biased laws and suffered from false dowry cases.
Likewise, the recent changes in the law relating to workplace harassment should also be gender-neutral, he said.
