Lok Sabha Opinion Poll For Odisha: How Many Seats Will BJP & BJD Win, This Time?
The BJP is set to register its best performance in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Odisha, as per the Lokpoll survey report.
As per the findings of the survey, the BJP is predicted to win 11-13 seats in the elections. The state has a total of 21 seats.

Factors Working For BJP
Benefiting from PM Modi's popularity and perceived poor candidate selection by the BJD, the BJP is poised to increase its vote and seat share in Odisha compared to the 2019 general elections.
The political dominance of VK Pandian has disappointed many BJD stakeholders, ultimately impacting the party's electoral prospects, the opinion poll claims.
The INC has successfully regained the support of converted Christians and Muslims by highlighting the tacit understanding between the BJP and BJD in the state. Tribal agitation against the incumbent BJP government, stemming from its perceived neglect of their demands, appears to be bolstering support for the INC, the survey noted.

In the Lok Sabha elections 2019, the BJP had won eight seats with a vote share of 38.4 per cent, while the BJD had bagged 12 seats with a vote share of 42.8 per cent. The grand old Congress won 1 seat with a 13.4 per cent vote share.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, the saffron party could only win just one seat with a vote share of 21.5 per cent. Whereas the BJD had won 20 seats with a 44.10 per cent vote share.
This time, there were talks between the BJP and the BJD over a possible alliance. However, the talks failed and both parties decided to go solo.
The 2024 Indian general election in Odisha will be held from 13 May 2024 to 1 June in 4 Phases.
