The Lok Sabha elections will enter their fifth phase on Monday, covering 49 seats across six states and two Union territories.

The states in the fray include Bihar, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal, along the Union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. This phase is notable for its extensive candidate list, with 695 individuals vying for a seat.

Voting Details and Key Constituencies

Polling stations will open their doors at 7 am and close at 6 pm. However, voters in line by the closing time will still get the chance to cast their ballots. Among the constituencies, Uttar Pradesh's Amethi and Rae Bareli are particularly significant, closely associated with the Congress party's Gandhi family. In the last election, Sonia Gandhi secured Rae Bareli, while Rahul Gandhi faced a defeat in Amethi against the BJP's Smriti Irani.

Other key candidates include Rajnath Singh (BJP) in Lucknow and Piyush Goyal (BJP) in Mumbai North.

Voting took place for the initial four rounds on April 19, 26, May 7, and 13, with the final two phases scheduled for May 25 and June 1.

With the election process reaching its latter stages, the outcomes of this phase could significantly influence the overall results.
