Lok Sabha Election Predictions: Is The BJP Losing 2024 Polls? Here's What Prashant Kishor Says
Poll strategist Prashant Kishor has made bold predictions about the BJP's performance in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, foreseeing an increase in their seat count compared to the 2019 General Elections.
In an interview with Moto Story, Kishor expressed confidence in the BJP's resurgence, stating, "In all likelihood, the BJP will make a strong comeback, improving their electoral tally." He specifically pointed out the party's strength in the West and North regions, foreseeing minimal impact on their prospects. Also, Kishor noted a surge in the BJP's voter share and seat count in the East and South.

It comes at a time when reports and analysts claim that the BJP is unlikely to get majority and the first few phases have not gone well for the ruling party.
However, Kishor declined to delve into state-wise predictions. Despite his positive outlook for the BJP, he remarked that the Modi brand has experienced a decline, with its influence waning.
Kishor criticized the Opposition for missing several opportunities to challenge the BJP's dominance. He highlighted the INDIA bloc's initial momentum being hindered by the Congress's focus on state assembly elections, allowing crucial months between September and December to go to waste. The BJP's victories in three states in December, coupled with the Ram Mandir inauguration in January, bolstered the party's narrative, according to Kishor.
Offering advice to Rahul Gandhi, Kishor suggested taking a hiatus of five years if the election results do not favor the Congress, emphasizing the value of breaks for reassessment.
Looking ahead, Kishor cautioned that the BJP's third term would face significant challenges, anticipating widespread public dissent. He cited past protests during PM Modi's tenure, such as the Land Bill protests in his first term and subsequent demonstrations like those related to the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and farmers' issues in his second term.
Kishor claimed that Modi would emerge as a "weaker Prime Minister than before" amidst these challenges.
