    Vote counting is scheduled for June 4 for all bypolls, assembly elections, and the General elections. This election cycle welcomes 1.82 crore new voters into the electorate. It is heartening to note that 88.4 lakh people with disabilities are empowered to cast their votes, ensuring inclusivity and representation for all segments of society. Among the electorate are also 2.18 voters aged above 100.

    Acknowledging the challenges faced by certain demographics, provisions have been made for disabled and elderly voters above 85 years to cast their ballots from the comfort of their homes, facilitated by Form 12.

    In a significant stride towards inclusivity, 48,000 transgender individuals are poised to exercise their democratic right, marking a pivotal moment in their quest for recognition and equality.

    To ensure smooth voting procedures, the Election Commission has designated 10.5 lakh booths across the country, ensuring accessibility and convenience for voters.

    Additionally, the participation of 1.5 crore election officials has been ensured for the smooth functioning of the elections.
