Lok Sabha Election 2024: Arvind Kejriwal Calls High Level Meeting With AAP MLAs

To discuss the plan of action for the upcoming Lok Sabha Election 2024, Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal has called a meeting with all his party MLAs on Sunday, May 12 at his Civil Lines residence. According to the reports, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann is also likely to attend the high-level party meeting, where AAP leaders are likely to give report on peoples' response to Lok Sabha candidates.

The reports said that CM Kejriwal will also do two roads in West Delhi and New Delhi constituencies. A day ago, CM Kejriwal hit the headlines after he attacked BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi claiming that India is heading towards dictatorship.

While Addressing his party workers, Delhi CM also said that PM Modi doesn't want any other leader in the country and will remove Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath in only 2 months if voted back to power, just like he sacked Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar.

Citing BJP's age limit rule, Kejriwal also said that PM Modi will retire next year as he is turning 75, and he will give reigns to Amit Shah.

"These people ask the I.N.D.I.A bloc who will be their Prime Minister. I ask BJP who will be your Prime Minister? PM Modi is turning 75, on 17th September. He made a rule that leaders in the party would retire after 75 years. LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Sumitra Mahajan, and Yashwant Sinha were retired and now PM Modi is going to retire on 17th September," Kejriwal said.

Hitting back at Kejriwal Union Home Minister Amit Shah junked Kejriwal's claim stating there's no such rule or age limit for the Prime Minister.

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 31, 2024, in connection with the money laundering case related to now-scrapped Delhi Liquor Policy, was granted bail by the Supreme Court till June 1 with some conditions, and he has to surrender again on June 2 in Tihar Jail.
