Lok Sabha Election 2024: AAP, Congress To Win 5 Seats Each, BJP May Get 1, Predicts Mood Of The Nation Survey

Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, various news agencies and media houses are trying to know 'What is the mood of the nation?' On-ground surveys, talking to the locals, and trying to know what's on their minds help in collecting sample data that may find answers to many big questions and burning questions. Such data also help to know what are going to be common major issues for the voters. And on what basis people will pick their leaders this time.

The opinion poll will also help to assess the government's performance and know whether there's any anti-incumbency or not. Will people give another chance to the ruling side or try and trust the Opposition?

According to the Mood of the Nation poll by the India Today Group, which talked to 35,801 voters in several districts of Punjab, it was learned that both the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Congress in Punjab are likely to win five seats each in the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. While the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is expected to bag two seats out of the total 13 seats in the state. Shiromani Akali Dal may win one seat.

The opinion poll was held between December 15, 2023, to January 28, 2024.

The survey added that AAP is projected to attain a vote share of 27 percent, the Congress 38 percent, the BJP 17 percent, and the Shiromani Akali Dal 14 percent, with the remaining 4 percent attributed to other parties.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the Congress won 8 of the 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab, while the SAD-BJP alliance bagged four. Aadmi Aadmi Party (AAP) had managed to win only one seat last time.
