Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been awarded the highest civilian honors by several nations.

In July 2023, French President Emmanuel Macron conferred PM Modi with the 'Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour', the highest French honor in military or civilian orders. This is the 14th such highest state honor that PM Modi has received since he took over as Prime Minister in 2014.

• In 2021, he was awarded the Global Energy and Environment Leadership Award by the Cambridge Energy Research Associates CERA.
• In 2019, he was awarded the 'Global Goalkeeper' Award by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. He was also awarded the First-ever Philip Kotler Presidential Award in 2019.
