Likely List Of Cabinet Ministers In Modi Govt 3.0: NDA Leaders To Decide Portfolios Today
A day ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony for a consecutive third term, National Democratic Alliance (NDA) leaders will today hold a key meeting in Delhi to decide portfolios for newly elected Members of Parliament. According to the reports, leader of the alliance Narendra Modi, BJP chief JP Nadda, senior leaders Rajnath Singh, and Nitin Gadkari along with JDU chief Nitish Kumar, TDP's N Chandrababu Naidu and other big faces of NDA may finalise ministries for the new government.
The selected minister will take oath at the grand event along with the Prime Minister.

Notably, this time BJP did not get the majority on its own and now need the support of alliance partners to form the new government. BJP bagged 240 seats, which is 32 short of the majority mark of 272. While TDP won 16 seats, Nitish Kumar's JDU 12, Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena 7, and Chirag Paswan's Lok Janshakti Party-Ram Vilas emerged victorious in 5 constituencies.
It is expected that the BJP will keep the Home Ministry, Defence Ministry, Finance Ministry, and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry. Meanwhile, reports suggested that TDP has demanded the Speaker's post along with 4 ministerial posts in Cabinet. N Chandrababu Naidu has reportedly asked for Information and Technology, Railway Ministry, Agricultural Ministry, and Roads and Highway Ministry.
However, there has been no official confirmation about the demands or conditions yet.
While kingmaker Nitish Kumar may also get 4 Ministerial posts.
Both JDU and TDP have also demanded special status for Bihar and Andhra Pradesh as states are undergoing huge debts.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena faction and the LJP of Chirag Paswan are also seeking key portfolios in the new cabinet led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
