Pune follows Australian example, tilts bus to save youths

, Sept 1: After the Australians display of power and integrity when they saved a man trapped in a metro station, we have a similar case in the Indian city of Pune. Puneites lifted a bus to release two trapped youths underneath after they were run over by it.

According to Pune Mirror, "The boys were run over with such force that they went under the bus, which stopped only after colliding with the traffic signal post."

A group of 50 people helped lift the bus till fire safety officials arrived with a crame to remove the vehicle. The two college goers were shifted to a hospital where the doctor declared that they were out of danger.

Just a month ago, a similar incident happened in Australia when passengers tilted a metro train to release a trapped individual in the gap between the platform and the train.
