Light to moderate rainfall in Rajasthan

Jaipur, Sep 2: Light to moderate showers today lashed many parts of Rajasthan with Udaipur receiving heavy rainfall, the MeT department today said. Heavy rainfall occurred at isolated areas in Udaipur and Jodhpur division since yesterday till this morning.

Sajjangarh in Udaipur recorded 10 cm of rain whereas Chikali in Dungarpur and Kushalgarh in Banswara received 7 cm during this period. Several other places recorded below 7 cm rain, according to Met department here.

Bikaner, Chittorgarh, Jaipur, Dabok, Ajmer, Churu, Pilani, and Sriganganagar also recorded 26.2, 22, 13, 4.8, 1.8, 1.4, 1.1, and 0.1 mm rains till evening today since morning.

The Met department predicts heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places in East Rajasthan and heavy rainfall in Western parts of the state during next 24 hours.
