Light rains lash Rajasthan

Jaipur, May 12: Light rains occurred at isolated places in Rajasthan bringing down temperatures in parts of the state.

Kota registered a high maximum temperature of 40.1 degrees Celsius while Barmer, Chittogarh and Jaisalmer recorded 38.8, 38.6 and 37.1 degrees Celsius respectively whereas other places recorded temperatures below 36 degrees, according to a MeT report here.

The department has predicted squall at isolated areas in the state during the next 24 hours.
