LGBT members take out protest march in Hyderabad
Hyderabad, Feb 8: Scores of members of the LGBT community on Sunday took out a rally and held a dharna here over the alleged atrocities committed against its members and seeking fulfilment of other demands.
Representatives of the community under the banner of Hyderabad Queer Swabhimana Collective, raised slogans like 'We Want Justice' and held placards and banners that read 'Equal Rights For All', 'My Love My Right', 'Behave Yourself', among others as they marched from Lower Tank Bund towards Indira Park where they staged a dharna.

The members said the march was taken out to highlight the alleged physical and sexual violence to which they were subjected and demanded, among other things, the repeal of Section 377 of IPC.
"Around 200 members participated in the rally, which culminated into a dharna at Indira Park. Their demands among others included seeking equal opportunities for all," Gandhi Nagar Police Station A Sanjeeva Rao said.
