LG to Delhi Police: Evolve with technology

New Delhi, March 23: Delhi Lt. Governor Anil Baijal on Thursday advised Delhi Police to evolve with the technology for proper upkeep of records and for random checks of existing systems.

Baijal also directed the police to widely publicise its One Touch Away app to spread awareness about the app among masses, so that people could utilise its services optimally.

The directions were issued at a meeting organised to review the use of technology by Delhi Police.

Delhi's Principal Home Secretary and the Delhi Police Commissioner attended the meeting along with other senior officials.

"The Lt. Governor asked Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik to regularly test-check the systems in place, utilise various apps in operation optimally and keep on digitising services offered to the people of Delhi," a statement from the LG's Office said.
