Leopard rescued from well

Nashik, Mar 28: A leopard trapped in a well for a day was rescued by forest personnel at Konkanipada in Kalvan taluka of the district.

The two-and-half-year-old big cat fell into the well on Saturday night while in search of water, R P Dhomse, Kalwan Forest Range Officer said, adding that it was rescued yesterday.

The foresters lowered a cage into the well and succeeded in luring the feline into it, he said.
