"Leave"-Ayukta: Justice Rao extends leave by another 45 days
Bangalore, Oct 21: The Karnataka Lokayukta has done it again. This time he has extended his leave by another 45 days. His 45 day leave will begin tomorrow i.e October 22 2015.
This is for the fifth time since in four months that the Lokayukta of Karnataka, Justice Bhaskar Rao has extended his leave.

He has been on leave since July 27th ever since his son Ashwin Rao was arrested by the Special Investigation Team in connection with an extortion case.
The SIT has been wanting to question Justice Rao after it had come to light that the official telephones both at office and his residence were allegedly used by his son to make phone call relating to the extortion racket.
Ever since his son was arrested, Justice Rao has been on leave.
The complaint by many however is that he has not delegated his work and this has resulted in pendency in the Lokayukta office.
Records would show that there are over 350 files pending scrutiny and 250 others which are pending in the wake of the Lokayukta being absent.
The first time he applied for leave was between July 27 and August 14. While it was expected that he would return to Bengaluru to be part of the Independence Day celebrations at the Lokayukta's office, he extended his leave to August 31.
On September 30 he extended his leave until October 21. Now he once has extended his leave for another 45 days starting October 22.
The Registrar of the Lokayukta who was informed about the extened leave has sent the same to the Governor while stating that this was part of Justice Rao's 145 day paid leave.
