Leader leaves BJP red-faced, says party never promised 'Acche Din'

New Delhi, Aug 26: "Acche Din is a creation of the media, the party never coined it"; hell broke lose when a Cabinet minister of the BJP-led NDA government-Narendra Singh Tomar said this.

It was a day set up for the Congress and other parties who have every intention of targetting the BJP at the slightest pretext.

Speaking to the reporters in New Delhi, Minister for Mines, Steel, Labour and Employment said that BJP had never promised Acche Din and that the term was coined by common man on social media.

Tomar further said,"We never gave the slogan of achche din. 'Achche din ayengey, Rahul nani ke ghar jayengey', this slogan actually evolved on the social media and people started to relate it with the BJP."

When asked about the spiralling price of onions, Tomar said that talks are going on and measures will be taken to control them.
