Lawrence Bishnoi's Hitlist: Shraddha Walkar's Killer Aftab Poonawala Next In Line?

In a startling turn of events, Aftab Poonawala-accused of the brutal 2022 murder and dismemberment of his partner Shraddha Walkar-has reportedly landed on the hitlist of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. This revelation emerged from the interrogation of Shubham Lonkar, one of the suspects in the murder of former Maharashtra NCP minister Baba Siddiqui.

According to reports, Lonkar, arrested for his alleged involvement in Siddiqui's murder, informed investigators about the gang's intentions toward Poonawala. Mumbai's Crime Branch, which has arrested 24 individuals in connection with Siddiqui's murder, continues its investigation, with Lonkar and Zeeshan Akhtar identified as central suspects.

Lonkar's background, including an earlier arrest under the Arms Act in Akola with possession of three firearms, exposed his ties to Lawrence Bishnoi and Anmol Bishnoi. Reports also link Lonkar to illegal firearms trafficking, raising concerns about his criminal network.

Poonawala's chilling crime surfaced in May 2022, when he murdered Walkar and stored her body parts in a refrigerator before his arrest in November. Currently held in Tihar Jail, Poonawala is under heightened surveillance as law enforcement agencies, including Maharashtra's ATS and intelligence units, are now closely monitoring this potential threat from the Bishnoi gang, known for its extensive criminal connections.
