Laptops likely to be banned from check-in luggage
Large personal electronic devices like laptops may soon be soon banned from check-in bags to avoid any kind of fire incident in the aircraft.
The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has come up with this proposal and the United Nations will be studying the proposal in coming months, a report in the Extremetech said.

It is learnt that FAA conducted a series of tests where PED placed with aerosol inside the luggage and there is any thermal runaway event, there are chances that the aerosol can might explode. According to the FAA, in certain cases, if the fire suppression system of the aircraft is compromised, it can lead to the loss of the aircraft.
According to several media reports suggests that India may also follow the suit ince the decision is taken by any leading aviation agency.
Earlier, top airlines had banned the use of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phones during flights following reports of battery explosion.
