Land-For-Jobs Fraud Scam: Delhi Court Grants Bail To Lalu Prasad Yadav
Former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Yadav, his wife Rabri Devi, Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav, and Rashtriya Janata Dal MP Misa Bharti who were accused over an alleged involvement in a case concerning a supposed land-for-jobs fraud were granted bail by Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court on Wednesday.
Earlier a Delhi Court summoned Tejaswi Yadav, Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi, and 14 other individuals on September 22, regarding a land-for-job scam, according to officials familiar with the matter.

Lalu Yadav while addressing the media asserted, "Hearings keep happening. Have we done anything that we need to be scared about?"
The summons for all the accused to appear before it on October 4 was issued by Special Judge Geetanjali Goel, after recognizing a new charge sheet presented by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on July 3, according to officials.
The Central Bureau Of Investigation (CBI) has reportedly issued a second chargesheet for 17 defendants, including the former Union Minister of Railways, his family, former West Central Railways General Manager and two former Chief Personnel Officers, private individuals and a private company, in relation to the Land for Job scam. Most notably, the chargesheet implicates Lalu Prasad Yadav, his son Tejashwi Yadav and others.
On May 18, 2022, the CBI launched a case against Lalu Yadav and several others, including his wife and two daughters, unidentified government workers, and private individuals. It was brought up that the Union Minister of Railways from 2004-2009 allegedly obtained financial gains through land property transfers in the names of his family members and others, in exchange for installing substitutes in Group "D" positions across various railway zones.
Earlier, a chargesheet was filed on October 7, 2022, against 16 accused. The investigation is continuing, CBI informed the Court.
