Land-for-Job Scam: CBI Files Chargesheet Against Bihar Dy CM Tejaswi Yadav, Lalu Yadav, Rabri Devi
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday filed a chargesheet against Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Yadav, and his wife Rabri Devi in a land-for-job scam case.
The chargesheet was filed before Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court. However, no date for the hearing on the chargesheet has been provided yet.

The case is already scheduled for a hearing on July 12.
The CBI had registered the case in 2017 on the basis of a complaint filed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau of Bihar. The complaint alleged that Lalu Yadav, when he was the Chief Minister of Bihar, had misused his position to grant jobs to ineligible candidates in return for land.
Tejashwi Yadav was the Railway Minister in the previous government led by Lalu Yadav. He has been accused of being a beneficiary of the scam.
Rabri Devi was the Chief Minister of Bihar from 1997 to 2005. She has also been named in the chargesheet.
The CBI has filed a total of 120 charges against the accused, including criminal conspiracy, cheating, forgery, and misuse of power.
The move to file the chargesheet comes amid speculation that Janata Dal United (JDU) leader and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar may return to the fold of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
Kumar had left the NDA in 2017 and formed a government with the RJD and the Congress. However, the alliance has been facing increasing strain in recent months.
