Lalu's son in the dock: This time for concealing facts in affidavit

The BJP has alleged that his affidavit did not mention a few things such as possession of land, but the RJD has maintained that all the documents are in the public domain.

The worries for Tej Pratap Yadav, son of Lalu Prasad and Bihar's health minister appear to be never ending. The BJP has dragged his name into a series of scams and the latest on the list is that he had not declared land and firm details in his 2015 election affidavit.

Tej Pratap Yadav

The BJP has alleged that he did not mention in his affidavit that he was in possession of 45 decimals of land in Aurangabad and also a Rs 2.29 crore loan he had obtained by mortgaging the same. The BJP's Sushil Modi also alleged that he was the highest shareholder in a company in which his mother and sister too have shares. All this was not part of his affidavit, Modi has alleged.

The RJD, however, shot back stating that these allegations were baseless in nature. The party's spokesperson Mrityunjaya Tiwary said that all documents were in public domain.

Meanwhile, the BJP has urged Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to immediately sack Tej Pratap in the wake of so many allegations coming up. The CM has however not reacted to these allegations yet.
