Lalu Yadav Mocks PM Modi With AI Video: 'Rain Of Lies... Hailstorm Of False Promises' | WATCH

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav took a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday, who is currently visiting Bihar, by jokingly linking the political climate to the actual weather - describing a "heavy rain of lies" and a "hail of false promises" in the election-bound state.

Lalu Yadav's remarks followed PM Modi's speech earlier in the day, in which he criticised the RJD-Congress alliance for indulging in dynastic politics.

The Prime Minister asserted that those eager for power only work to advance their own families, while his government remained committed to inclusive development.

"Weather warning in the interest of Bihar. Today, there is a heavy rain of lies, false promises and illusions in Bihar. Hailstorm of false and tempting promises are also falling along with thunder. Be careful," Lalu Yadav posted on X.

The RJD chief also shared an AI-generated video aimed at highlighting what he termed the realities faced by the public in light of unfulfilled promises made by the NDA government, which includes Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as an ally.

The video features an elderly man sitting under an umbrella in a rural setting, seeking shelter from a 'flood of promises'.

It then transitions to a young man singing in the rain under an umbrella, illustrating the vulnerability of ordinary citizens to a 'hail of false promises'. In a striking scene, Nitish Kumar and PM Modi are depicted dancing joyfully under a broken bridge - a metaphor for infrastructural collapse and alleged corruption under the NDA regime.

Meanwhile, PM Modi, speaking at a rally in Siwan where he inaugurated development projects worth ₹10,000 crore, called on voters to reject those who ushered in 'jungle raj' in Bihar and plundered the state. This marks his fifth visit to Bihar in the past five months.

Responding to the Prime Minister's remarks, Lalu Yadav's son and Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav criticised Modi for delivering what he described as an uninspiring and scripted speech.

"What he said was ghisa-pita (cliched), had no content, and he read from teleprompter. Jumlon ka saaya hai, dekho phir wohi aaya hai. (There's a shadow of lies and look, he has come back again)," he said.

Tejashwi also took a jab at the NDA, referring to it as the "National Damad Alliance", and accused Nitish Kumar of neglecting public concerns while attending PM Modi's campaign events.

"The RJD has a clear vision and roadmap for the state. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar continues to ignore people's issues while attending PM Modi's rallies, something that comes easily to him. The NDA, which is the 'National Damad Alliance', should take accountability and answer to the people of Bihar," he stated.

Bihar, which has 243 Assembly constituencies, is expected to hold its state elections in October-November this year.
