Lalu's son supports UPSC aspirants stir; seeks PM intervention

In a letter to the PM, Tejaswi Yadav, younger son of Lalu Prasad and leader of youth RJD, urged the PM to order review of pattern of the CSAT to give level-playing field to civil services aspirants coming from rural areas.
The letter dated July 27 was posted on the Twitter account of Lalu Prasad today.
He requested the PM to stop immediately the proposed examination schedule of civil services till the issues of the protesting students are addressed.
He said lakhs of students appear in UPSC civil services examination from Bihar whose medium of education was Hindi.
"The present pattern of CSAT examination discriminates against students of languages other than English," he wrote in the letter. He demanded that police should stop treating protesting civil services aspirants as "criminals".
