Lakhs of devotees from Western India visit Ambaji temple in Gujarat

The devotees participated in the seven-days long Gujarat Ambaji temple Bhadarvi Poonam festival which began from September 3 to September 9, Ambaji Trust chairman and Banaskantha district collector Dilip Rana said.
Gujarat Ambaji Temple Bhadarvi Poonam festival is one of the 51 Shaktipeeths (temples dedicated to Goddess Shakti). More than two million people travel to the Ambaji temple on the day, with the majority of them travelling on foot, carrying religious flags.
More than 6.40 packets of prasad were distributed to devotees during their visit during the last six days while free meals were provided to about 1.84 lakh people.
The temple has received donation worth Rs 2.10 crore from devotees, official sources said.
