KV Teacher Dipali's Disrespectful Comments About Bihar Go Viral: Calls It The 'Worst Region In India'

A primary school teacher at Kendriya Vidyalaya in Jehanabad, Bihar, has been suspended after a video surfaced showing her making derogatory comments about her posting in the state, according to an ABP report. The teacher, identified as Dipali Sah, expressed her dissatisfaction with being assigned to Jehanabad, using offensive language to describe Bihar and its residents.

In the video, Sah complained about her first posting in Bihar while her friends were assigned to more desirable locations such as Darjeeling, Silchar, Bengaluru, and other states. She stated, "I could have got posting in any region. This (Bihar) is the worst region in India. I will remember this posting my whole life. They could have posted me anywhere like Goa, West Bengal, and Ladakh. The ground reality is Bihar is fu**** up. People here have zero civic sense." She further claimed, "India is called a developing nation just because of Bihar."

Following the release of the video, the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) took immediate action by suspending Sah with effect from the date of the incident. During her suspension, her headquarters will be at the Kendriya Vidyalaya in Mashrakh, Saran district, and she is prohibited from leaving without prior permission from the principal.

The incident has drawn widespread criticism from various political leaders. Samastipur MP Shambhavi Choudhary condemned the teacher's remarks and expressed gratitude to KVS for its prompt response. Jehanabad MP Surendra Prasad Yadav also denounced the statements, emphasising that such behaviour undermines the dignity of Bihar's people. Yadav stated he would write to the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and the Union Education Minister, demanding the teacher's dismissal to prevent future incidents of this nature.

This incident highlights the need for respect and dignity in educational settings, especially towards the communities teachers serve.
