Moni Bhosle Aka Kumbh Mela's Monalisa To Attend Chemmannur Event In Kerala's Kozhikode
Moni Bhosle, widely known as Monalisa - 'Girl of Kumbh'- will be in Kozhikode in Kerala on Friday to attend the inauguration of a new Chemmannur showroom. The news has been announced by businessman Boby Chemmanur on his social media account.
In a social media post, Monalisa is seen confirming her arrival in Kerala. However, the timing of the inauguration has not been revealed yet.

Boby was recently in the news over his alleged derogatory and vulgar comments about actress Honey Rose.
The Rise of a Viral Sensation
Monalisa became an overnight star during the ongoing Mahakumbh Mela, the world's largest spiritual gathering. Selling garlands at the event, she captivated visitors with her beauty and graceful demeanour. A video of her confidently interacting with attendees went viral, garnering over 15 million views. Her striking amber eyes, dusky complexion, and long braided hair earned her the nickname "Brown Beauty," with many drawing comparisons to Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa.
As her fame skyrocketed, people flocked to her stall for selfies and Instagram reels. However, the overwhelming attention disrupted her livelihood, forcing her to leave the Mahakumbh and return home.
A New Beginning in Entertainment
Despite the abrupt end to her time at the Mahakumbh, Monalisa's viral fame paved the way for a promising future. Within weeks, she gained a massive social media following, leading to multiple project offers, including a film contract.
In January 2025, director Sanoj Mishra offered Monalisa a role in Bollywood. Mishra, known for his work in television and cinema, made the announcement through a video where he detailed his meeting with Monalisa and her family in their village. He also revealed that he has taken on the responsibility of launching her in the film industry with his upcoming project, The Diary of Manipur.
