OneIndia Exclusive | Kumbh 2025: A Day At Historic Arail Ghat in Allahabad
Preparations are in full swing for Mahakumbh 2025, and Arail Ghat in Prayagraj is bustling with activity.
Known for its serene beauty and religious significance, Arail Ghat is located near the iconic Sangam, where the Ganges and Yamuna rivers merge with the mythical Saraswati.

This tranquil spot, often overlooked by visitors, offers a unique perspective on the grandeur of the Kumbh Mela.
A Scenic and Spiritual Experience
Situated opposite the Allahabad Fort, Arail Ghat provides breathtaking views of the Yamuna flowing gracefully from the west, meeting the Ganga that descends from Uttarkashi in the north.
The confluence, believed to be blessed by the invisible Saraswati, is a spectacle that draws millions of pilgrims and tourists alike.

The ghat is also a vantage point for admiring the majestic Naini Bridge and exploring nearby temples. Visitors can enjoy a tranquil sunrise or sunset, indulge in photography, or enjoy snacks from the local stalls while soaking in the serene atmosphere.
As the preparations for Mahakumbh 2025 intensify, the enthusiasm among locals is palpable. OneIndia spoke to several residents and boatmen who shared their experiences and hopes for this massive event.
