Political Journey

Gangopadhyay's political career began after he retired as a judge from the Calcutta High Court in March last year. Shortly after stepping down, he joined the BJP and successfully contested the Lok Sabha elections from West Bengal's Tamluk constituency in 2024.

The hospital's statement emphasized that Gangopadhyay is receiving comprehensive care. His health is being closely monitored by specialists to manage his condition effectively. The medical team is working diligently to address his health issues.

The news of Gangopadhyay's hospitalization has garnered attention, given his recent transition from a judicial role to an active political career. His contributions as a judge and now as an MP have made him a notable figure in West Bengal's political landscape.
