Kochi: Pappadavada keeps 'public fridge' for feeding needy people
Kochi, March 29: At a time when lot of food is wasted, a restaurant owner in Kochi has come up with a novel idea to prevent it from getting wasted and to serve food to needy people free of cost!
Minu Pauline, the owner of Pappadavada, an ethnic tea shop, has kept a pblic refrigerator outside the restaurant, to keep fresh leftover food for the needy people.

The fridge is accessible to all, who want to keep food or those who want to take food from it.
The fridge has been named "Nanma Maram." To make sure that food is not stale, people have been asked to write date and time on the food packet, when they keep it inside fridge.
