Know the judge who will give verdict in Gurmeet Ram Rahim rape case
We are living in a time, where people take pictures, shoot videos of helpless, injured people lying on road. But a good Samaritan rushed four seriously injured people to a hospital in Jind district, Haryana.
As per reports, even he first called up emergency to rush an ambulance, but when the operator told him, "Will the ambulance come flying?", he stopped a private vehicle and himself took the injured to the hospital.
That good Samaritan is none other than Jagdeep Singh, a CBI special court judge in Panchkula, who will deliver the verdict in the 15-year-old rape case against the head of the Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda, Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, on Friday, reports Hindustan Times.
Jagdeep Singh is known as a very competent with a no-nonsense attitude. Singh, an additional district, and sessions judge rank official was designated as the CBI special judge last year.
The current CBI court posting is his second posting. Singh was a Punjab and Haryana high court lawyer prior to joining the judicial service.
A Haryana judicial officer recalled him as a bright student. Singh is considered a very hardworking and upright officer, he said.
