Know About The 3 Passengers Shot Dead By A Railway Cop

A Railway Protection Force (RPF) jawan on Monday shot dead 4 persons on board a train near Palghar railway station in Maharashtra.

The jawan fired from his automatic weapon, killing another RPF jawan and three passengers of the train, which was on its way to Mumbai from Jaipur, the official said.

Constable Chetan Singh (34) shot dead RPF Assistant Sub-Inspector Tika Ram Meena and passengers Syed Saifullah, Abdul Qadir Mohammad and Asgar Sheikh.

Abdul Qadirbhai Mohammed Hussain

Businessman Abdul Qadirbhai Mohammed Hussain Bhanpurwala was one of the four who was shot dead by Chetan Singh. A resident of Nala Sopara in Maharashtra, he is survived by his wife, two sons, daughter-in-law and a grandson, India Today reported.

    He was scheduled to go to Dubai and his family has already gone there. However, his trip got delayed due to a document verification problem, the report said. He had gone to his native village Bhanupur for Muharram and was on his way to Mumbai.

    Syed Saifullah

    Syed Saifullah, who worked at a mobile shop. is survived by three daughters including a sixth-month-old baby. He was going to Hyderabad via Mumbai from Ajmer after visiting Ajmer Sharif Dargah. His owner was also with him.

    Asgar Sheikh

    Seeking employment, Asgar Sheikh was going to Mumbai on the train. Originally hailing from Bihar's Madhubani district, Asgar had relocated to Jaipur three years ago and worked as a bangle maker there. Due to the insufficient income from his current job, he made the decision to travel to Mumbai in search of better work prospects to support his family. Asgar is survived by his wife, four daughters, and a son.

    As the three men belong to the same community, the AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi termed the gruesome incident as a "terror attack targeted at Muslims".

    "This is a terror attack that specifically targeted Muslims. It is the product of continuous anti-Muslim hate speech & unwillingness of @narendramodi to put an end to it. Will the accused #RPFJawan become a future BJP candidate? Will his bail be supported by the govt? Will he be garlanded when released? Happy to be proven wrong #JaipurMumbaiExpress," Owaisi tweeted referring to a video by another person circulating on Twitter.
