Kiran Reddy had no option but to resign: Sushilkumar Shinde

"A decision to create the state of Telangana by dividing Andhra has been taken. He was opposed to it. What other option did he have?," Shinde said.
Reddy on Wednesday quit the Congress and resigned as Chief Minister and MLA, a day after the Lok Sabha passed the Telangana bill. He had been relentlessly opposing the Centre's decision to carve out a separate state of Telangana.
While announcing his resignation he said that for votes all political parties have done harm to to Telugus. "Injustice has been done to the people. Division of states won't help both the regions," he said.
He even said: "PM said that his heart was bleeding over the disruption in Parliament. But the misery of Telugu people won't cause him any pain," he said.
