Kiran Bedi justifies 'vote for Modi' statement

Kiran Bedi
New Delhi, Jan 10: Standing by her choice in the Lok Sabha elections, retired IPS officer Kiran Bedi said that her comment of "voting for Narendra modi" was an independent choice. "As a an independent voter, my vote is for NaMo (Narendra Modi)," said she.

On asking the reason behind her choice, she said,"In order to end the chaos due to corruption in the last three years in Congress's regime, we are looking for stability, growth and prosperity."

Clearing all airs about her leaving Anna's side, she said,"For me, it is India first. I am speaking as an independent individual , not aligned to any particular party. We have an alternative and a tested alternative.I have not left the company of Anna Hazare. This is an independent voice. Everything is crumbling. I am not in any ideology or manifesto. The time is for united and stable government. The Congress and the BJP are the two national parties; we do not want back door entry of Congress and we need to run the government from the front door. We should give majority vote and not fragmented vote."

Condemning the ways of Congress, the officer said that it was a party that did not hesitate to join hands with other parties to form a government. "They do not believe in getting defeated," she said sarcastically.
