Kia Seltos 2025: Price, Features, and Booking Details Revealed

Kia has officially pulled the wraps off the highly anticipated second-generation Seltos, an all-new model that marks a significant generational leap for the popular mid-size SUV. Revealed to global markets, the new Seltos adopts a thoroughly revised design philosophy and arrives packed with cutting-edge technology, cementing its position as a formidable contender in the highly competitive segment.

A Striking New Design Built on a Fresh Platform
The 2026 Seltos is underpinned by the new K3 platform, which contributes to its enhanced proportions. The new model is both longer overall and features a slightly extended wheelbase compared to its predecessor, suggesting a greater focus on cabin space and overall stability.

Visually, the SUV features a much bolder, more mature stance. The front fascia is dominated by the brand's latest interpretation of the signature Tiger Nose grille. Integrated seamlessly into the front design are sharp, vertical LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), while the square-shaped LED headlamps are now cleverly incorporated within the grille unit.

Along the sides, the design is defined by generous body cladding and flared wheel arches that house newly designed alloy wheels. A clear push towards premium styling is evident with the adoption of flush-fitting door handles and a redesigned exterior rearview mirrors (ORVMs). The rear completes the modern look with slim, connected L-shaped LED taillights and a chunky, assertive rear bumper.

A Premium and Technologically Advanced Cabin
The interior of the second-gen Seltos has undergone a complete overhaul to create a more premium and technologically advanced environment. The cabin is trimmed in new two-tone upholstery options, providing a sophisticated feel. The driver is greeted by an all-new three-spoke steering wheel and a panoramic, seamless setup of dual 12.3-inch displays that house both the digital instrument cluster and the state-of-the-art touchscreen infotainment system.

This new connectivity suite allows the SUV to receive convenient Over-The-Air (OTA) updates for its systems. Further enhancing the driving experience is the inclusion of an advanced AI assistant, a Head-Up Display (HUD), and a comprehensive suite of Level 2 Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS).

Powertrain and Market Availability
The new-generation Seltos will offer a diverse range of powertrains tailored for specific global markets. Internationally, Kia plans to offer a potent 1.6-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit. Critically, a new hybrid powertrain is also on the cards, which will feature cutting-edge capabilities like vehicle-to-load (V2L) and regenerative braking for superior efficiency.

For the Indian market, the Seltos will continue to rely on a proven lineup of engines: a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, a powerful 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, and the economical 1.5-litre diesel engine. These engines are expected to be paired with a wide choice of transmission options, including a manual, an intelligent manual transmission (iMT), a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), and a torque-converter automatic. The engines are anticipated to produce similar power outputs as the outgoing model, with the 1.5L NA Petrol generating 114 hp and 144 Nm, the 1.5L Turbo Petrol providing 158 hp and 253 Nm, and the 1.5L Diesel offering 115 hp and 250 Nm.

Pricing and Competition
Bookings for the much-awaited new Seltos will officially commence tonight with a set token amount of ₹25,000. Deliveries to customers are slated to begin from mid-January 2026.
