Kerala: Member of ABVP hacked to death in Kannur

Member of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) hacked to death near Kuthuparamba in Kannur while he was going on his bike. Meanwhile, Police have began the investigation.

The deceased has been identified as Shyam Prasad (24), who is a student of the Peravur Government ITI. The incident happened at around 5:30 pm at Kommeri under the Peravur Police Station limits

The wounded ABVP worker however tried to fled from the spot to escape from the masked assailants and entered the compound of a nearby house. Chasing assailants caught him on the verandah of the house and hacked him with sharp weapons, the police said.

However, he died while being rushed to hospital at Thalassery.
