Kerala: Malayalam poet K Sreekumar attacked; 6 arrested
Six people including a Panchayat member were arrested in connection with attack on Malayalam poet K Sreekumar on Tuesday. He was allegedly attacked on Monday night in Kerala's Kollam district while he was returning from a public function.
Sreekumar was abused and attacked by a group of men when he was about to enter his car. Police had earlier taken six men taken into the custody.
A complaint was filed regarding this.
The office of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan intervened in the matter and directed the district police chief to act against the miscreants.
