Kerala HC slams CM,transfers case against Chandy's gunman to CBI
Trivandrum, March 28: The Kerala High Court has ordered to transfer the probe of land grab cases against Chief Minister Oommen Chandy's former gunman Salim Raj to the CBI.

The court rapped the CM saying that alleged involvement of the personal staff members of the Chief Minister's office in criminal acts has come to the notice of the court multiple times.

The CM's office should be a model institution serving the people of the state, the court said.

In September 2013, Fayaz PK, a man from Thalassery, was held in a gold smuggling case. In the subsequent probes, his alleged links to officials at chief minister Oommen Chandy's office was revealed.

Earlier, the CM's office had become the focus of media attention after a high-profile solar panel scam was unearthed and two staff members, Tenny Joppan and Jacob, were dismissed. At that time, Oommen Chandy had preferred to protect the criminals in his office rather than calling for a fair trial.
